Anal Fistula

Anal fistula is an abnormal tunnel connecting the anal canal to the surrounding skin, usually due to infection or abscess. Modern minimally invasive treatments like Video-Assisted Anal Fistula Treatment (VAAFT) preserve sphincter function and offer excellent healing. The procedure uses a scope to visualize and treat the tract from inside, minimizing risk to continence. Most patients heal within 4-6 weeks with low recurrence, and can return to daily activities quickly.
