Stomach Cancer Surgery

Stomach cancer (gastrectomy) surgery removes all or part of the stomach plus surrounding lymph nodes. Approaches include open, laparoscopic, or robotic methods. Patients typically stay 7-10 days post-op and need gradual diet adjustment. Surgery is often combined with chemotherapy. Full recovery may take 6-10 weeks.
